[Shako] Francia 1815

Continuamos con las partidas de Shako II (en unos días haré una entrada para hablaros bien de este reglamento). En esta ocasión, escogimos jugar ya con lo mínimo que pide el reglamento, un Cuerpo de Ejercito, es decir, unos 30 Batallones/Regimientos, artillería y hostigadores a parte.

Como yo había traído lo justo, no pensé en el bono del atacante (un 10% adicional de tropas, en caso de los franceses y un 20% adicional en el caso del resto de naciones), me tocó ser defensor.

Con un río in-pasable en mi retaguardia, solo se  podía cruzar por un puente en mi flanco izquierdo, me decidí por organizar mi Cuerpo en cinco Divisiones. Una ligera mixta, en mi flanco izquierdo, con ordenes de tomar y proteger el puente, para evitar ser superado y rodeado por ese flanco. Una más grande en el centro, con una gran Batería de cañones, su misión era mantener el centro el mayor tiempo posible y retrasar a los prusianos o causar problemas en el avance, la gran Batería demostraría ser un acierto. En mi flanco derecho, se situaron dos pequeñas Divisiones, la primera de Infantería, algo retrasada con respecto a la División de centro y la segundo, con el resto de mi Caballería, Dragones, Coraceros y Husares. Finalmente una quinta División en mi retaguardia, en el centro izquierdo, para, en caso de ser necesario, retomar el puente de mi flanco o unirse a la División Ligera en su defensa.

Los prusianos, desplegaron cuatro Divisiones grandes, dos de ellas mixtas y dos de Infantería, también con gran cantidad de cañones que Gumly tuvo que repartir entre sus unidades. Los prusianos amagarían un asalto a mi flanco derecho con una División Mixta, mientras el ataque principal caería sobre las unidades que defendían el puente de mi izquierda y sobre las Baterías, con un ataque en oblicuo desde mi izquierda, para minimizar las bajas por el fuego de los cañones.

Siguiendo el plan previsto, mi División Ligera tomó el puente a la carrera, llegué antes que los prusianos por unos pocos minutos. Mientras, el resto de mis ejercito se dedicó a ver el espectáculo de mi artillería castigando a las tropas prusianas que avanzaban sobre mis posiciones.

Mientras mis unidades tomaban posiciones en la cabeza de puente, en mi flanco derecho, los prusianos tomaron una colina cercana a mis líneas, así que era hora de demostrar que no me iba a quedar mirado como mis enemigos maniobraban a sus anchas. Como la caballería ya estaba en contacto, lo primero que hice fue adelantar a los Dragones y a los Coraceros, mientras mis Husares, reformaban para apoyar o explotar alguna de las cargas de mis tropas pesadas.

Los prusianos tomaron medidas y sus Batallones de primera línea formaron cuadros, perfecto, es lo que yo quería, ya que su infantería no era mi primer objetivo. Con un largo toque de corneta, mis caballeros se lanzaron a la carga, los Dragones contra la artillería de la división prusiana y los Coraceros, contra unos Husares prusianos. 

La artillería fue completamente aniquilada, aunque me había soltado una descarga dolorosa de metralla. Los Husares, fueron puestos en fuga por mi caballería, aunque no logre aniquilaros del todo y había posibilidades que que regresaran a por más. Mi flanco derecho ya estaba seguro, estas cargas pararon en seco a los prusianos, era hora de enviar a mi infantería para trabar y derrotar esa finta por la derecha.

En el puente, los combates se recrudecieron rápidamente, tras un duro intercambio de fuego entre las tropas ligeras y lo prusianos, estos decidieron hacer las cosas a la antigua, es decir, al asalto y en combate cuerpo a cuerpo, donde su superioridad numérica, se impondría sin muchas dificultades a mis tropas.

Tras varios asaltos, perdí mi cabeza de puente en mi flanco, pero conseguí detener los intentos de cruce de los prusianos. 

Al final, tuvimos que dejar la partida por falta de tiempo, pero hablando con Gumly llegamos vimos que la cosa estaba muy igualada y que dependiendo de los movimientos e iniciativas, la cosa podía decantarse hacia un bando o hacia otro.

The Prussians, deployed four major divisions, including two mixed and two Infantry, also with lots of guns Gumly had to distribute among their units. The Prussians amagarían an assault on my right flank with a Joint Division, while the main attack would fall on the units defending the bridge of my left and on the batteries, with an attack obliquely from my left, to minimize casualties by fire from the cannon.

Following its plan, my Light Division took the bridge to the race, I came before the Prussians for a few minutes. Meanwhile, the rest of my army turned to see the spectacle of my artillery punishing Prussian troops advancing on my positions.

While my units took up positions in the bridgehead, on my right flank, the Prussians took a hill near my lines, so it was time to demonstrate that there was going to be regarded as my enemies maneuvering at ease. As the cavalry was already in contact, the first thing I did was to overtake the Dragons and Cuirassiers while my Husares, reformed to support or operate any heavy loads of my troops.

The Prussians took action and formed the front line battalions squares, perfect, it is what I wanted, as their infantry was not my first target. With a long bugle, my knights took to load, the Dragons against the Prussian artillery division and Cuirassiers against a Prussian Hussars.

The artillery was completely annihilated, although I had dropped a painful shrapnel fire. The Hussars were put to flight by my cavalry, but fails to annihilate the whole and had opportunities to come back for more. My right flank was sure, these charges did bring the Prussians, it was time to send my infantry to engage and defeat that fake to the right.

On the bridge, fighting quickly escalated, after a harsh exchange of fire between the light troops and Prussians, they decided to do things the old, ie, to assault and combat where their superiority numerical, would be imposed without much difficulty my troops.

After several rounds, I lost my foothold on my side, but I managed to stop attempts crossing the Prussians.

In the end, we had to leave the game due to time, but talking to Gumly we saw that things were very even and depending on the movements and initiatives, things could lean toward one side or the other.
