Tras un asalto por sorpresa, las tropas de la IV Compañia de Ultramarines y de la Casa Arctorius de Caballeros Imperiales, toman un pueblo orco y ponen a los pielesverdes en fuga. Pero la respuesta de los orcos no se hace esperar y antes de que las fuerzas del Imperio hayan podido tomar posiciones o fortificar el pueblo, una partida de guerra se lanza a recuperarlo.

Después de refrescar un poco las reglas básicas de Epic 40.000, Viden y Sergi se prepararon para una partida de prueba. Viden se puso al mando de las fuerzas del Imperio y Sergi de los orcos. El primer turno fue muy rápido, ya que al no estar a distancia de disparo de la mayoría de unidades no hubo fase de disparo (si que hubo fase de asalto, ya que el Destacamento del Clan Mordisco de Víbora del flanco derecho orco tenia orden de asalto, lo que le permitió mover de nuevo en esta fase).
The first turn was quick as no one was at shooting distance there was no shooting phase (it was assault phase as the Snakebites Clan at the Orkish right flank had the Assault order in place, pushing fowards to the enemy lines).

En el segundo turno, las cosas ya empezaron a ponerse serias. Los marines de la IV Compañia tomaron posiciones en el pueblo, mientras que los orcos frenaron un poco su avance para poder hacer una andanada de disparos y debilitar a los Marines, en el flanco, las unidades de caballería orcas se prepararon para los Caballeros Imperiales (Si sobrevivían a la fase de disparo, claro). The Marine Armoured detachment advanced to the center of the field: Seven Land Raider and several light vehicles.

A partir de este punto, la cosa fue cuesta abajo para los orcos. Un mal calculo, expuso al Señor de la Guerra al fuego enemigo y fue aniquilado, el fuego del destacamento con artillería de campaña y armas pesadas sólo consiguió un impacto en 14 dados ¡repitiendo tiradas para impactar! y el destacamento del centro, que recibió la atención de los Land Raider, también fue prácticamente aniquilado. La única alegría para los orcos, fue en el flanco derecho, donde los caballeros imperiales fallaron su chequeo de moral y no pudieron disparar, sufriendo la carga de los orcos. En el asalto subsiguiente, los orcos eliminaron a varios robot de la escolta, aunque no pudieron derribar a ningún Caballero.

After that the Land Raider almost annihilated the whole Ork central detachment and the mighty artillery detachment of the Greenskins managed to score one single hit wth fourteen dice... Repeating the failed ones!
The only bright note for the Greenskins was the cowardy of the Imperial Knights who were unable to open fire against the cavalry after failing a moral test caused by too many blast markers for their guts. In the following Orkish charge several robots of the Mechanicus were destroyed but no Knight fell.
