Seguimos probando la novena edición de Warhammer 40.000. En esta ocasión con dos ejércitos basados en puntos de poder (PL) en lugar del sistema de puntos del sistema equilibrado. Por un lado, los Ángeles Sangrientos de Toni y Joel y por otro una horda de cultistas, zombis y mutantes de Nurgle de Alberto.

Los Sangrientos optaron por una fuerza compuesta casi en exclusiva por primaris, con dos unidades de infiltradores y una de intercesores, así como un dreadnought bibliotecario y un comandante con retros. Para completar, desplegaron un dreadnought de Forgeworld, que escupe fuego que da gusto.

Los cultistas de Nurgle, se decidieron por un ejército de horda, con varias unidades de cultistas, una de zombies de plaga y dos unidades de Engendros (que tras el buen trabajo que hicieron contra la Legión Alpha en la partida de prueba, Alberto ha ampliado su recluta a dos unidades de cinco), también contaban con la ayuda de un señor de Caos de Nurgle, el padre de la infección e iniciador del foco.

Como de momento solo contamos con las reglas básicas, seguimos jugando la misma misión de "Solo hay Guerra", con cuatro objetivos en el campo de batalla. Se puntúa al final de la fase de mando, por cada objetivo que tus unidades controlan y al final de la partida, se obtiene un punto adicional por eliminar al Warlord del contrincante y si controlas más objetivos en el último turno.
As we have only the core rules, we played the same mision "There is only war" with four objectives at the field. Points are earned at the end of the command phase for each objective controled by your units and at the end of the game an additional point can be earned by eliminating the enemy warlord or controlling more objectives than your opponent.

Los Sangrientos supieron sacar ventaja de la regla de infiltración de varias de sus unidades y en el primer turno, ya controlaban tres de los cuatro objetivos. Esto les permitió ejercer mucha presión sobre los cultistas y los forzó a avanzar contra la línea de Primaris.

En esta edición, que se plantea con batallas y escenarios mucho más móviles, creo que volveremos a ver muchas de las unidades con capacidad de infiltración o que puedan desplegar en puntos clave del campo de batalla. En partidas donde se puntúa turno a turno, empezar controlando varios objetivos y conseguir un buen margen de puntos en los dos primeros turnos, puede ser muy importante (sobre todo, porque las partidas se juegan a 5 turnos).
In this edition battles are much more mobile than in the last one, so we believe that a lot of infiltrating and rapid units are going to be seen a lot more. La unidades del culto se lanzaron a fondo contra las posiciones de los Primaris, pero siendo unidades de marines, en posiciones a cubierto, fue como chocar contra un muro, y la intervención del Dreadnought de Forge, con sus veinte disparos por turno, dejó las hordas de cultístas hechas polvo.

Eso sí, los Engendros demostraron una vez más que son una unidad muy muy peligrosa para los marines en combate cuerpo a cuerpo.

Al final, las tropas del Imperio se consiguieron imponer a los cultistas del caos.
